Photo competition

Get your entries in for the Lifejacket Photo Competition. Don’t miss your chance to have your photos or videos used in safety campaigns and promotional material. Entries close at the end of each season, so you have got plenty of time to find that perfect shot!

The theme is "Lifejacket -  Wear It" which is open to your interpretation and imagination. This is your chance to showcase your photographic talents and we’d love to see your vision of what you feel portrays this theme. There are also great prizes to be won.

The photographic competition is open to everyone, subject to each entrant accepting the Competition Terms and Conditions by reading and acknowledging the attached Image Release Agreement. You can enter the Lifejacket Photo Competition as many times as you want and are welcome to submit more than one photo or video.

How to Enter:

There are three ways you can enter:

Digital photos:

These can be uploaded via the online form. The resolution of your electronic image should be A4 in size and at least 300 dpi (118 pixels/cm). As a guide, a JPEG is the best format to do this in as it provides the highest quality at the smallest file size.

Other acceptable file formats include TIFF and Photoshop EPS. Please don’t send GIFF or BMP files.

If using a digital camera please ensure you use the highest resolution/quality settings available on your camera when taking the shot.

Hard Copy prints or slides:

Send original prints or slides via mail to:

    Lifejacket Photo Competition
    Locked Bag 5100
    Camperdown NSW 1450

If sending your photograph as a hard copy print, please send us the original photo, at least 15cm by 10cm (6inch by 4inch) in size. Mounted slides are also an acceptable format to submit your winning photo. Please don’t send us prints produced on a home inkjet or laser printer and please don’t send negatives.

Handy Hint: Put your photos between two sheets of cardboard to avoid them getting crushed in the post.

You can also burn your photos to a CD or DVD.

Don’t forget to include an email or mail address.

Note: Maritme Services will only accept an entry if the entrant acknowledges and agrees to the attached Image Release Agreement.
